Tisa's Tattoo Festival

About

Traditional-arts festival at Tisa's Barefoot Bar in Alega village, founded in 1993 by Tisa Faamuli to revive the Samoan tatau and now in its third decade. Visiting tufuga work with handmade tapping tools across the run, alongside siapo, stone-tool and sustainable-arts demonstrations, live music, kava service and a closing Sunday toana'i feast. Participants seeking a tatau must be 15 or older and free of specified health conditions.
