Founded in 2000, McMenamins UFO Festival draws thousands annually to McMinnville, a Willamette Valley town an hour southwest of Portland, honoring the famous 1950 Trent UFO sighting. It's the second-largest UFO-themed event in the United States. The vendor fair operates on a first-come, first-served basis and undergoes jury selection — it runs along 3rd Street during the festival weekend. The festival features renowned speakers and experts, live music, vendor booths, pet costume contest, and the Alien Abduction Dash fun run.
