Woollybear Festival

About

Held in downtown Vermilion along Lake Erie shores, the 54th Annual Woollybear Festival is a one-day celebration rooted in Dick Goddard's beloved legacy — using woolly bear caterpillars to forecast winter. Expect a large parade (nearly 2 hours), the Woollybear 500 caterpillar race, live entertainment, FOX 8 personalities, and hundreds of craft, food, and merchant vendors across two downtown park areas. Draws thousands of regional visitors.
