Wyoming County Community Fair

About

Held in Meshoppen each September, Wyoming County Fair draws around 60,000 fairgoers to a 6-day event with livestock shows, 4-H exhibits, tractor and horse pulls, demolition derby, and live entertainment. Food vendors, craft vendors, and local businesses operate under a free-rides, free-entertainment, free-parking model. The fair was originally held in 1857, revived in 1986, and moved to its current Route 6 location in Meshoppen in 1991. Nearly 400 local volunteers support the fair annually.
