Carnaval Mabó

Guaynabo, Puerto Rico

About

Held in Guaynabo since 1976, Carnaval Mabó runs each February/early March at Tablado del Río. The carnival brings together local artisans, musicians, dancers, and performers, with culinary competitions featuring 40+ chefs, parade of floats and comparsas, live salsa orchestras, and food and beverage kiosks. Local artisans display handcrafted goods, from handwoven hammocks to colorful vejigante masks. The festival closes with the traditional Burial of the Sardine. Note: To apply as a vendor for Carnaval Mabó, you must contact the municipal government directly and ask to be transferred to the Departamento de Desarrollo Cultural, as they manage all applications through their cultural offices. Note: You must contact this organizer directly to apply—no application link or vendor information is available online.
