Placerville's big summer weekend is the El Dorado County Fair in June, and Main Street takes over late in the year with Hometown Holiday on Main, the tree-lighting night at the Bell Tower. Among its 5 events are also a Wednesday-evening farmers market on Main Street in summer and a Saturday market from May through October.
