Lake Charles celebrates its pirate lore on the lakefront each May with the Louisiana Pirate Festival, known as Contraband Days, and Chuck Fest brings a juried art market downtown in October. Mistletoe & Moss Holiday Market
HolidayHeld at the Lake Charles Event Center, Mistletoe & Moss Holiday Market is an annual event hosted by the Junior League of Lake Charles. This beloved tradition brings together merchants from across Louisiana and the surrounding region, drawing thousands of visitors each year. Each year the market draws between 6,000–7,000 shoppers from Louisiana and southeastern Texas. Shoppers can browse one-of-a-kind gifts, holiday décor, clothing, art, and more. The Junior League does not take a commission from vendor sales. Vendors receive a merchant hostess for support and complimentary lunch, dinner, snacks and drinks in the Merchant Lounge.
