Craft Fairs & Farmers Markets in Albemarle, North Carolina

Running for over 15 years in downtown Albemarle, the Albemarle Downtown Farmers Market (formerly Stanly County Farmers Market) offers local meats, seasonal produce, baked goods, and handcrafted items. Vendors sell produce, homemade goods, and crafts to Stanly County and surrounding areas. Opening day features an annual plant sale along with a spring craft fair and children's activities sponsored by 4-H. Both farmers and artisans welcome; artisan demonstrators and musicians may also contact the market.

Annual celebration of the Agri-Civic Center and its impact on the community with agricultural displays, educational demonstrations, vendors, live music, raffle and auction items, kids' activities, and more. All proceeds benefit the Friends of the Agri-Civic Center. Free event.

Held in Albemarle at Uwharrie Vineyards in mid-July, Christmas in July is a juried pop-up featuring 60 vendors, wine tastings, food trucks, and brunch across indoor and outdoor spaces. Hosted by Sunny Day Markets, LLC. Applications are competitive—organizers review based on product quality and variety. Vendors must commit to both days (Saturday 11am–5pm, Sunday 11am–4pm); early breakdown is not permitted and reflects negatively on the event and fellow vendors. All fees are nonrefundable, including weather cancellations.

Annual all-day fall street festival co-presented by Badin Brews, Albemarle Downtown Development Corporation, and Young Country Customs LLC. 70+ vendors including breweries and dining options. Celebrates both Oktoberfest and Halloween with local musicians, gem mining, axe throwing, a bounce house, costume contest and more. Admission and parking free.

Two seasonal downtown events organized by the City of Albemarle: Halloween Trick or Treat (October) features participating businesses and organizations handing out candy along Main and North Streets, and An Albemarle Downtown Christmas (December) includes tree lighting at City Hall, Santa visits at Courthouse Square Park, hayrides, live music and dance performances, ice sculpture demonstrations, food trucks, and downtown retail shops with extended hours. Both draw downtown foot traffic and family participation.
