Akron Arts Expo
ShowIn its 47th year, the Akron Art Expo held in July at Hardesty Park welcomes over 100 juried artists from around the country. The show features ribbon and cash awards, food, interactive children's activities, and entertainment. Medium mix includes glass, clay, metal, mixed media, jewelry, and photography. Work must be original and completely finished; at least 60% originals and 40% reproductions are permitted. Mass-produced work via commercial kits, molds, patterns, or craft kits will not be permitted. The designer/maker must be principal of the business and present at the show with photo ID—no dealers or reps allowed. Choose from four categories: Ornamental, 2-Dimensional, Functional, or 3-Dimensional. Jurying is blind, scored on originality, execution, creativity, design, workmanship, and media display. Vendor perks: artist breakfast both days, free onsite parking, 24-hour security during setup and show, and booth sitters. Booth spaces are 14x15 feet.
Akron Bazaar Holiday Market
HolidayAkron Bazaar is a juried handmade market run by the Cleveland Bazaar team, hosting multiple seasonal shows throughout the year in downtown Akron. The holiday market takes place around Thanksgiving weekend and draws 50+ makers selling locally-made goods. Apply via Submittable.

PorchROKR Festival
FestivalPorchROKR takes place each year in Akron, Ohio in the third Saturday in August, held in the Highland Square neighborhood. This annual, one-day community music and art festival features front porches as stages and yards as venues. Nearly 140 artists perform across 35 stages, drawing strong foot traffic and established neighborhood shoppers. The event features vendors set up around the neighborhood along with food trucks and tents. Artisan and food vendors welcome— it's a diversity-of-music community gathering in a historically walkable neighborhood with brick-and-mortar retail integration.
