FestivalThe fifth annual Charley Clayton Memorial Peep Festival is held in April at Fairmont State University, honoring a Fairmont native who passed away in 2022. The festival fulfills her dream—asked what festival she'd start, she answered Peeps. Features pageants, a pop-up thrift store, food trucks, and live music. Admission is free; proceeds benefit the Charley Clayton Memorial Scholarship for West Virginia students.
Fairmont Hometown Market
FarmersHeld on select Saturdays from May through September in downtown Fairmont on Monroe Street, the Hometown Market series features dozens of local vendors and food options. Lineups include live music, produce, and celebrations of local heritage and diversity. All booth spaces are 10x10 feet. Electricity available for an additional fee if requested per event.
Feast of the Seven Fishes
FestivalFeast of the Seven Fishes is held in Fairmont each December and drew over 10,000 guests last year. This Italian-American festival runs alongside the Hometown Christmas Market—a two-day event featuring food vendors, artisans, and crafters. Food vendors only (artisans apply separately to the Christmas Market). Health Department permits required; electrical hookups available but limited and cannot be used for heating.
Frank N Stein: A Halloween Beer Festival
FestivalFrank N Stein is Fairmont's craft beer festival, now in its second year, held in downtown Fairmont. Main Street Fairmont and the Marion County Chamber of Commerce present craft breweries from West Virginia and beyond alongside the city's hot dog tradition. The festival draws close to two dozen breweries and over a dozen food vendors — restaurants and hot dog vendors from Fairmont and the regional area, including Stone Tower, Whiskey June Bakery, and multiple hot dog shops. Commemorative steins crafted by local Fairmont artisans are sold at the event. A Beer Hall in the old firehouse offers full pints for purchase.
PattyFest
FestivalPattyFest is an annual old-time music festival held in Morgantown in June, celebrating the legacy of dulcimer player and mentor Patty Looman. The day features workshops, open jam sessions, an open stage, and live music — a gathering for musicians and music lovers focused on old-time, mountain dulcimer, and hammered dulcimer traditions rooted in West Virginia culture.
Three Rivers Festival
FestivalHeld in downtown Fairmont each May, the 47th Annual Three Rivers Festival kicks off with a Grand Feature Parade and opens onto three days of live entertainment, carnival rides, food vendors, and a fireworks display. The weekend culminates Saturday with the Amateur Pepperoni Roll Bake-Off — a vendor and public showcase where attendees vote on the winner. Family-focused crowd and established event drawing summer visitors to the region.
