Craft Fairs & Farmers Markets in Casper, Wyoming
Summer in Casper opens with NIC Fest, the Nicolaysen Art Museum's free four-day arts festival downtown in early June, followed by the Central Wyoming Fair & PRCA Rodeo in July. Rounding out Casper's 5 events: a Master Gardeners' farmers market in late summer, the Recreation Foundation Craft Fair in November and the Cowboy State Christmas Expo in December.
Casper Recreation Foundation Craft Fair
CraftHeld each November in Casper at the Ford Wyoming Center, the Community Recreation Foundation Craft Fair draws 200+ booths from across Wyoming and surrounding states — wood items, pottery, hand-sewn goods, paintings, and more. Proceeds benefit scholarships for youth and senior recreation programs through the Casper Recreation Division.
Central Wyoming Fair & PRCA Rodeo
FairOne of the top 35 PRCA rodeos in the U.S., the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo takes place every July in Casper with five nightly PRCA rodeo performances alongside carnival rides, monster trucks, and a parade through downtown Casper. The Cowboy Mercantile vendor marketplace inside the Industrial Building features western apparel, boutique clothing, handcrafted jewelry, leather goods, home décor, and unique gifts. The fair draws 140,000 attendees and includes 64 exhibitors and 23 food booths, plus livestock and craft exhibitions. The fair found its permanent home at the fairgrounds in 1947.
Cowboy State Christmas Expo
HolidayCowboy State Expo runs multiple times annually in Casper, with spring, summer, holiday, and winter editions held in mall spaces. Each vendor receives a welcome gift, and the expo partners with a local nonprofit to assist with load-in and load-out — you can also tip them directly. All raffle proceeds go to that nonprofit. One MLM company per booth (unless vendors are split between separate mall sections). Electricity available for an additional fee. Cancellations made two weeks prior can be credited toward a future expo within a year.
Natrona County Master Gardeners Farmers' Market
FarmersHeld each Saturday in August and September at the Agricultural Resource and Learning Center in Casper, Natrona County Master Gardeners Farmers Market brings together local ranchers, farmers, bakers, and makers selling fresh produce, meat, dairy, and baked goods. Vendors set up in marked parking-lot spaces (10 feet across, your own table and tent required) and can rent up to six consecutive booths. Master Gardener volunteers staff the market from early morning and handle booth assignments. Dogs on leashes welcome.
NIC Fest
FestivalHeld in downtown Casper, NIC Fest is the Nicolaysen Art Museum's 20th-anniversary arts festival—a free four-day celebration featuring art booths, live music across multiple stages, food vendors, and family activities. The festival draws thousands and kicks off with a Community Block Party & Art Walk on June 4, followed by three days of performances ranging from local blues and Americana to opera, jazz, and cultural dance. Artists and craft vendors apply through a jury process.
