The Pasadena Chalk Festival is a large outdoor chalk art festival and street fair in Old Pasadena, with 200 chalk murals created by over 500 artists across the weekend. It began in 1993 as "Chalk on the Walk" at Centennial Square, and in 2010 Guinness named it the largest street painting festival in the world, drawing more than 600 artists and a crowd of over 100,000 across one weekend.
