Eastern Market After Dark (EMAD)
ShowEastern Market After Dark is a free, all-ages district-wide festival in September — one night when Detroit's 130+ year-old working market transforms into a sprawling night market. 125+ Detroit-area artists, designers, and community organizations fill Shed 2 and spill through storefronts, streets, and the Riverfrontɛ with gallery pop-ups, creative installations, live music on the mainstage, food trucks, and vendor activations. Draws 33,000+ attendees. A signature event of Detroit Month of Design, hosted in partnership with Eastern Market Corporation.
Eastern Market Flower Day
FarmersHeld each May in downtown Detroit, Flower Day is an over 60-year tradition featuring the Metro Detroit Flower Growers Association vendors from all over the Midwest. Flower Day draws 160+ vendors filling the sheds and streets— offering hanging baskets, perennials, herbs, vegetable seedlings, container arrangements, garden soil, and specialty plants. Many of the families and farms vending have been showing up year after year for decades. The annual event draws tens of thousands of people, and includes live music and food options. Smaller crowds and easier parking are available during four Flower Tuesday markets in May in Sheds 5 and 6.

Eastern Market Sunday Street Market
ArtisanSunday-only artisan/creative marketplace in Sheds 2 and 3 with up to 225 creative small businesses — local artisans, designers, vintage vendors showcasing Michigan-made gifts and handmade goods. Separate application from Saturday market.
Eastern Market Tuesday Market
FarmersOne of the oldest, continuously running markets in America, Eastern Market anchors Detroit with Saturday and Tuesday markets year-round, plus Sunday markets June through September. Tuesday market runs 9 AM–3 PM in Shed 3 with local produce, baked goods, and meats from Saturday vendors, alongside free yoga and Zumba. The market draws a diverse, established crowd looking to buy directly from local farmers and producers.
