Canopy Season Features

Checked by hand, and dated on the listing.

Canopy Season lists 9,500+ craft fairs, farmers markets, and festivals across all 50 states, DC, and five U.S. territories — with the details that decide whether an event is worth your weekend. Not copied once and left to rot.

Browse events · Compare plans

Every event we've verified by hand gets a stamp you can see in listings and in event details.
Verification

A badge is a claim. A date is a receipt.

Anyone can say their listings are accurate.

Every event we've checked shows when we checked it. Not a badge — a date, on the listing, where you can see it before you trust it.

Organizers move deadlines, raise fees, and replace their application platform, usually without announcing any of it. When something changes, the listing changes.

And when there's genuinely no deadline — a year-round farmers market, an event with rolling applications — we say that, instead of inventing a date to fill the field.

We do what other lists do not: Washington alone took two weeks of verification by hand. Then there were 49 more states.

Canopy Season reviews gives users the inside scoop on an event.
Reviews

What the event website will never tell you.

Organizer websites describe the event. Vendors describe the day.

Load-in at 5 a.m. through a single gate. A crowd that browsed for six hours and bought nothing. An organizer who answered every email, or none of them.

Reviews cover organization, communication, crowd quality, and the question that matters most — whether they'd vend it again.

Only a handful of directories offer vendor reviews at all. This is the part of Canopy Season that took the longest to build, and it's the reason to trust a listing before you send money to a stranger.

Canopy Season Pro surfaces all the hard-to-find data on each event.
The details that are buried

The information nobody puts on the front page.

A booth fee is rarely one click away.

Application links move to a different platform every year — Zapplication one season, EventEny the next, a Google Form the one after. Booth fees sit three clicks into a PDF, or halfway down a paragraph, or nowhere at all. Payment due dates often only appear in the acceptance email.

Finding this for a single event takes twenty minutes. Finding it for thirty events is a weekend. We've already done it.

  • Direct application link

  • Booth fees and booth sizes

  • Payment due dates

  • Organizer contact

  • Deadline alerts

On alerts: When an event has an application deadline, we'll tell you before it passes. When it doesn't — and plenty don't — you'll know that too, instead of assuming you've missed something. Included with Pro.

Canopy Season's cost calculator has two modes - event mode and business mode to help you calculate your expenses and determine your ROI.
Cost Calculator

A $40 booth almost never costs $40

Fuel, lodging, meals, parking, booth supplies, and the inventory you have to make first. The Vendor Cost Calculator estimates what an event actually costs you, so a cheap booth two hundred miles away stops looking cheap.

Save your defaults once. Save scenarios per event. Compare two events side by side before you choose.

Our Shortlist displays all the information you need to determine whether your selected events will find a place on your vending calendar.
The Shortlist

Three events. One table. Decide.

Saving events is easy, which is the problem — by February you have forty and no way to choose between them.

The Shortlist holds three at a time. It lays them side by side with dates, booth fee, application fee, deadline, projected net, and true hourly rate, over a timeline that shows you which weekends collide. Totals at the bottom: what all three would cost you, and how many weekends they'd take.

Link a saved cost scenario and the projected net and hourly rate fill in. Freeze a named snapshot when you decide, or share the comparison with someone whose opinion you trust.

Three is the cap on purpose. A shortlist of twelve is just a list.

Applications and the Season Ledger

Applying is easy. Remembering where you applied isn't.

Track which events you've applied to, what you paid, what's still owed, and where each one stands — instead of a spreadsheet you update twice and then abandon in March.

The Season Ledger is the same record read backwards. Applications group by year and by event, so a market you've done three seasons running reads as one thread instead of three unrelated rows. It shows your acceptance rate, what you spent on booth fees for the events that said yes, and how many seasons you've been at this.

Attach a cost scenario to an application and the ledger holds the real number. Tick any two and you get them side by side — net profit, margin, true hourly rate, and where the money went.

Then push last year's winners straight into this year's Shortlist, and start the loop again.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between Browsing, Member, and Pro?

Browsing lets you search events and use the cost calculator. A Member account adds website links, attendance estimates, saved favorites, calendar export, and saved calculator defaults. Pro unlocks the direct application link, organizer contact info, fees, payment dates, application tracking, scenario comparisons, and event reviews.

Do I apply through Canopy Season?

No. Pro shows you the direct application link, but you submit and pay through the organizer's own system (Zapplication, EventEny, Google Forms, email — whatever they use).

How current is the event info?

Seasonal event listings are updated on a rolling basis but we edit events weekly. Dates, fees, and contact info can still change — always confirm with the organizer before you commit.

How do you get event information?

A mix of public sources, organizer-provided info, and direct outreach. If information simply isn't available, we'll tell you.

What if an event listing is wrong?

Every event page has a "report an issue" link. Tell us what's off and we'll fix it.

Can I cancel Pro anytime?

Yes. Cancel from your account settings — you'll keep Pro access through the end of your billing period.

Does the State Database update after I buy it?

You get the dated snapshot at purchase. When we refresh a state, we'll notify that your document has been updated. You can buy the updated document at your state's update price, shown in My Account.

Is there a mobile app?

The site is mobile-friendly and works in any browser.

What Canopy Season does
not do

  • We're not an application portal. You apply through the organizer's own system.

  • We don't process booth fees. Your money goes directly to the organizer.

  • We don't represent organizers or guarantee acceptance.

  • We don’t pretend every listing is perfect. Event information changes constantly. We verify as much as we can, but organizers update on their own schedules. When something changes, we update it.
