Bethany Beach Boardwalk Arts Festival has been a Bethany Beach tradition for nearly 50 years. The one-day show features 100+ juried artists—both local and from around the country—displaying jewelry, glass, pottery, watercolor and oil painting, photography, woodworking, and metalwork along the bandstand, boardwalk, and downtown streets. Held in Lewes, the 30th annual Boast the Coast celebrates the town's nautical heritage with free boat tours, live music, and activities in 1812 Park adjacent to the City Dock. The event runs alongside the three-day Lewes Merchants' Fall Sidewalk Sale — most retail businesses in the Historic Lewes Business District participate — and coordinates with University of Delaware's Coast Day on Sunday.

Hosted by the Bowers Beach Maritime Museum, the bash celebrates its 14th year as a free, family-friendly event each Memorial Day weekend. The waterfront transforms into an interactive pirate experience with treasure hunts, live music, hands-on demonstrations, and a full pirate encampment created by reenactors—hourly cannon and musket firings, and activities for all ages. Held the weekend after Labor Day in Wilmington, the Brandywine Festival of the Arts is Delaware's largest arts festival and a 50+ year tradition. Now regionally popular and nationally recognized, it consistently ranks in the top 100 shows in the country and draws participants from across the United States. Brandywine Park Farmers Market in Wilmington runs Saturdays from May through October and draws produce, baked goods, artisan goods, and food vendors. The market hosts a women-only walk club that brings 50–100+ participants each week, creating steady foot traffic and a strong community-wellness angle. Held at Siegel JCC's Outdoor Campus in Wilmington, the Brandywine Spring Festival of the Arts carries on a regional arts tradition running since 1961. This two-day outdoor festival welcomes artists exhibiting paintings, ceramics, photography, jewelry, and more alongside food vendors and live entertainment. Pet-friendly, family-oriented setting with hands-on art activities.

Held each October on the second full weekend in Bridgeville, Delaware, the Apple-Scrapple Festival features hundreds of crafters and vendors, live entertainment, and delicious food. Now in its 34th year, the festival was first held in 1992 to celebrate the region's agricultural heritage. Scrapple is manufactured locally—RAPA Scrapple is the world's largest producer—and the festival also honors the town's apple industry. Named one of the top 100 events in North America by the American Bus Association, the festival has grown significantly and hosts multiple vendor venues including a trade show, craft shows, and vendor fair. Volunteers organize all activities, and proceeds support local community organizations.

Held in Laurel each August, Broad Creek Bash (formerly Broad Creek Bike and Brew) combines bike rides and a 5K run/walk with a post-event after-party at Janosik Park featuring live music, Dogfish Head beer, and local food trucks. The second annual event draws cyclists on 25-, 50-, and metric rides through scenic byways and historic attractions including Laurel Heritage Museum, Old Christ Church, and Trap Pond State Park. Half of all proceeds benefit local nonprofits. Food and craft vendors are welcome—the after-party is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with strong foot traffic from both active participants and community attendees.

The 39th annual Clifford Brown Jazz Festival in Wilmington is a free seven-day celebration each August honoring the legacy of the late jazz trumpet virtuoso. The festival draws major jazz artists across multiple genres and includes live painting during performances. One of the longest-running free jazz festivals on the East Coast.

Running in its 15th year, the Delaware Beer, Wine & Spirits Festival is the only statewide showcase for Delaware's beer, wine, and spirits industry. Held at the Delaware Agricultural Museum and Village in Dover, this year's event celebrates the Semiquincentennial with special anniversary beers, craft cocktails using classic recipes, live music, food trucks, and assorted vendors. Every producer on the Delaware Beer, Wine & Spirits Trail will be represented. Non-food vendor registration is open.

Held in Hockessin, Delaware Chinese Festival has been running for over 20 years, hosted by the Chinese American Community Center (CACC), a nonprofit founded in 1982. The festival fosters understanding of Chinese culture and heritage through exhibits, performances, and cuisines. Expect a food court with authentic cuisine, cultural performances, folk dancing, calligraphy, martial arts, and children's activities. Around 4,000 people attend over the three-day weekend. The mix includes food vendors, artisan crafters (paintings, calligraphy, traditional crafts), and performers—a culturally focused audience drawn to support the community center's mission.

Held each October in Historic Delaware City along the waterfront at Battery Park, Delaware City Day has been running since 1980. The festival honors the town's riverfront heritage and "small town America" character — this year marks Delaware City's 200th bicentennial with special celebrations throughout. Alcohol-free, family-friendly event with fireworks at dusk.

Delafaire is the state's namesake Renaissance festival at Firebase Lloyd; 90+ artisan and craft vendors, food vendors, five stages of professional shows, armored combat, equestrian and falconry shows.

Delaware's annual state fair held in Harrington at the end of July is a ten-day event spanning over 300 acres and featuring 100+ food vendors, carnival rides, concerts, wrestling, rodeo, races, agricultural exhibits, and other typical state fair demonstrations. At 10 consecutive days, it's the longest-running fair in Delmarva and the largest.

Held in Delmar at State Street Park, this market brings together local farmers, food producers, and artisans on second and fourth Saturdays each May through September. Offerings include farm-fresh produce, eggs, honey, and handmade goods from small-business artisans.

In its 34th year, this October festival in Houston at G & R Campground brings live painters, craft vendors, and live music. Two free workshops on Saturday serve musicians of all levels, while Friday night hosts a Folk Hero Contest. Dogfish brewing sponsors the beer tent, and the on-site kitchen serves food.
