Held in downtown Sparks, 39 North Pole Village is the 10th annual holiday festival featuring interactive art, live entertainment, hundreds of thousands of twinkling lights, and a heated vendor tent. The event also draws families with free train rides, Santa photos, food trucks, and a hot chocolate playland — solid foot traffic for vendors looking to capture holiday shoppers.

Held in Sparks around Labor Day, Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-Off is the country's most prestigious rib competition—top cookers compete for prize money and bragging rights. The event draws roughly 30 competing barbecue teams and restaurants, plus food & beverage vendors and a craft marketplace. Live music runs nightly throughout the festival.

Northern Nevada Taco Fest is held in late June at Rail City Casino in Sparks. Brought to you by Millennium Entertainment, City of Sparks & Lotus Radio, this is a free event featuring live music, a taco-eating contest, a salsa-eating contest, and games. The event features vendors big and small and includes live music, a beauty pageant, and a salsa contest. Welcomes both prepared onsite food & drink booths and retail & prepackaged food vendors.

Held each October in downtown Sparks, PumpkinPalooza draws more than 25,000 people to Victorian Square for a full day of fall celebration. Now in its 9th year and named a top 10 Fall Event by Food Network Magazine, the festival features Nevada's only Pumpkin Derby, 20+ carnival-style games, live music, food vendors, and a craft marketplace. All proceeds benefit the Northern Nevada Center for Independent Living.

Held in Sparks at the Nugget Casino & Resort, the 18th annual Reno Ukulele Festival runs in late October and delivers a four-day lineup of daily workshops, evening concerts, artist discussion panels, open mics, community performances, and extensive shopping. Founder Doug Reynolds produced the festival, and it is now run by Dani Joy & Perry Stauffer, both accomplished performers and instructors. The vendor roster leans heavily ukulele and music—everything from instrument makers and specialty music shops to online ukulele academies. Attendees span absolute beginners to advanced musicians, and the community culture emphasizes inclusivity across skill levels. Open mic opportunities and spontaneous hallway jams extend late into the night, drawing an engaged audience.

Held in Sparks at Rail City Casino, Sparks Cinco de Mayo Fest features craft and food vendor booths celebrating Cinco de Mayo. Vendor booths are coordinated by Williams Ltd.
