Alive After Five

Boise's longest running, all-ages, free outdoor summer concert series, Alive After 5 runs select Wednesdays in June and July in downtown Boise's Grove Plaza. Vendors from the Saturday Market can now be found alongside Alive After 5 concerts in the Grove Plaza every Wednesday night through the end of July —a foot-traffic draw for food and craft vendors. The event features a mix of nationally and internationally touring artists and local talent from 5–8pm. A Tips for Charity Program runs each year with two local charity partners benefiting from 100% of bar tips.

Western Idaho Fair has run since 1897 at Expo Idaho, west of Boise. The fair draws over 260,000 guests annually for a 10-day, action-packed event showcasing Idaho crops, livestock, arts, and culture. The fair features hundreds of vendors and exhibits, dozens of fair food stalls, 4-H/FFA and open class events, a variety of entertainers and ground acts and the popular ICCU Grandstand Concert Series. Patrons are largely local: 70% Ada County, 25% Canyon County. All exhibitors must apply annually and previous participation does not guarantee acceptance. Cancellation forfeit is 25% of contract if notice is by August 1; full forfeiture if after.
