Held in Kansas City's historic Brookside neighborhood, the 40th Brookside Art Annual brings nearly 180 juried artists from across the country — working in jewelry, painting, clay, photography, and a dozen other mediums. Consistently ranked in the top 25 shows nationally by ArtSource, it's Kansas City's first outdoor art show of the year and draws serious collectors and arts enthusiasts. Artists are selected through an extensive jurying process that refreshes the mix each May while retaining award-winning veterans.

Kansas City Irish Fest

Held over Labor Day weekend at Crown Center, Kansas City Irish Fest is the largest community festival in Kansas City and the third largest Irish Festival in the United States. It attracts over 80,000 people annually. The festival offers nine stages featuring international, national and local bands, dancers, storytellers and other performers. Art in the Park, modeled after Merrion Square in Dublin, showcases up to fifty artisans in the beautiful tree-lined Washington Park adjacent to Crown Center Square. Food vendors compete for spots with priority given to Irish food sellers. On-site full-time security is provided Friday 5:00pm through Sunday 10:00pm.

Presented and organized by Kansas City Bier Company — Kansas City's largest locally owned brewery — KC Oktoberfest is a two-day festival celebrating authentic German-style bier, food, and entertainment at Crown Center in the heart of downtown Kansas City. Modeled after the Munich Oktoberfest in Germany, KC Oktoberfest is Kansas City's largest traditional Oktoberfest. In 2025, the event drew more than 17,000 merrymakers who came to enjoy the brewery's authentic German-style bier, lively entertainment, exceptional Bavarian and American cuisine, games and competitions, and family-friendly activities. Food vendors feature both traditional Bavarian-style fare including sausages, pretzels, and bier cheese soup, and classic festival favorites from local vendors — only those with a German theme will be seriously considered.
