The 24th annual Holiday Ale Festival is held each December at Pioneer Courthouse Square in downtown Portland, featuring 50+ exclusive beers and ciders created just for the event—many special releases you won't find anywhere else. Running for more than a century, Portland Rose Festival is organized by the volunteer non-profit Portland Rose Festival Foundation. The celebration includes more than 60 events—parades, fleet week ships, carnival rides, art shows, fun runs and more—running late May through mid-June. CityFair spans three weekends at Portland's Waterfront Park featuring carnival rides, food, games, and live entertainment. Food vendors and merchandise exhibitors apply separately for CityFair; the Dragon Boat Race segment draws around 5,000+ people and welcomes local food and shopping vendors. The Grand Floral Parade is the second-largest all-floral parade in the U.S., drawing over 500,000 spectators.
