Bayou City Art Festival – Downtown is a juried fine art festival ranked 11th in the nation, held each March in Sam Houston Park in downtown Houston. The festival has been running for more than 50 years and invites 300 selected artists across 19 different disciplines. All artists are blind-juried via Zapplication; the highest-scoring submissions are invited to participate. Expect strong attendance and a proven track record of solid sales for participating artists.

Houston Ballet Nutcracker Market kicks off the holiday season as Texas's signature shopping fundraiser. Held each November at NRG Center, it features hundreds of merchants selling home décor, gifts, food, apparel, toys, accessories, and more. All admission proceeds plus 11% of merchandise sales benefit Houston Ballet Foundation—shop and give back in one visit.

The 12th annual CraftTexas is a juried exhibition open to Texas artists working in clay, fiber, glass, metal, wood, and found/recycled materials. Juror Abraham Thomas—Daniel Brodsky Curator of Modern Architecture, Design, and Decorative Arts at the Metropolitan Museum of Art—will select work for an exhibition on view September through January at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft. Accepted artists have the chance to enter major national museum and private collections. Work must be completed within the last two years and cannot have been shown at HCCC previously. Memorial Villages Farmers Market runs year-round on Saturday mornings in Hunters Creek Village at First Congregational Church. The market draws 40–50 vendors—farmers, artisans, and food producers—and has established itself as one of Houston's premier farmers markets since 2015. Expect live music, guest lectures, and food demonstrations alongside produce, pastured meats, and prepared foods. Family-friendly with a playground, children's activities, and pet-friendly grounds.

Spring Vibe Market Houston is a free indoor two-day event in Houston drawing 125+ artisans, makers, and creatives. Expect original art, pottery, candles, handwoven goods, and more from Greater Houston makers — plus a bar with local breweries and wineries, globally inspired food trucks, a vinyl DJ set, and a professional photo booth. Family-friendly and parking on-site.

Urban Harvest's Saturday Farmers Market has been running since 2004 and is now one of Texas' largest producer-only markets, supporting 100+ local Houston farmers, ranchers, and food vendors. All vendors source from within 180 miles of Houston. Prepared and hot food vendors must source at least 51% of ingredients from local farms, building a more interconnected local food system.
