Appalachian Blues Festival

FestivalHeld in its 11th annual year at Robert Newlon Airport in Huntington, WV, the Fly In Festival is an aviation-themed bluegrass and old-time music event held in July. The venue is a working regional airport with the runway right behind the stage; skydiving demonstrations and aircraft fly-overs happen alongside the music. The weekend includes a Thursday potluck dinner, late-night jamming, and a Saturday morning kayak float trip on the Ohio River. No glass in the stage/vendor area is required. Proceeds benefit the Barboursville Bloodhounds and the Barboursville Police Department K-9 Unit.
