Craft Fairs & Farmers Markets in Morgantown, West Virginia

Hops on the Mon is Morgantown's annual beer and food festival in October, showcasing craft beers from local and regional breweries alongside offerings from area restaurants and food vendors. Held on downtown High Street, it partners with Main Street Morgantown. The festival is free. Food vendors work within themed competitions (past themes include Mac-n-Cheese Mania), and over 50 breweries participate, many from West Virginia. Live music is featured throughout.

Annual Monongalia County agricultural fair

Moonlight Market in Morgantown is a juried artisan night market held the third Saturday of each month from May through August at Morgantown Market Plaza. Running since 2022, it hosts more than 175 artists, makers, and food and beverage vendors annually. No artists or makers are ever scheduled back-to-back, so there's always something new to experience. Expect live music and food trucks alongside the artisan goods.

Held in Morgantown, the inaugural Crankie Festival celebrates hand-cranked moving panorama performances that combine storytelling, music, puppetry, and visual art. Artists from West Virginia, across Appalachia, and beyond share original crankie performances. The festival features 19 performers and groups. Held in Morgantown at Mylan Park's Ruby Community Center each November around Thanksgiving, Shop Til You Drop draws 180+ vendors from WV, OH, MD, and PA — all indoors. The show accepts crafts, jewelry, baked goods, clothing, and florals; vendors choose one category only. First-come, first-served applications fill fast. Applicants must submit photos and commit to stocking their booth.

Held in July at Mylan Park Community Center in Morgantown, the WV Wellness Festival is a free family event featuring a health & wellness fair, 1-mile color run, fitness competition, live music, kids' activities, and exhibitor booths. Draw includes free health screenings, expert wellness advice, food vendors, and giveaways. Exhibitor deadline is typically mid-July.

Held in Morgantown at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park, the West Virginia Wine and Jazz Festival brings together wine tastings, live jazz, food vendors, and a curated lineup of artisans selling jewelry, ceramics, woodworking, leather goods, photography, and home décor. The festival is run by a nonprofit that channels proceeds back to the community through scholarships and educational programs at WVU.

Held each September at WVU Core Arboretum in Morgantown, the WV Pawpaw Festival is a free annual celebration of pawpaws — the largest fruit native to West Virginia. Expect Peterson Pawpaws fruit samples and sales, chef-prepared pawpaw dishes, a pawpaw expert talk, native plants for sale, live music, and food trucks. Now in its 8th year.

WVU Farmer's Market runs Wednesday mornings on campus through April, drawing a rotating mix of local produce vendors, bakers, coffee roasters, flower growers, and prepared-food vendors.
