Established in 1982, Seaboard Festival is held each October in downtown Hamlet and celebrates the town's railroad heritage as the former "Hub of the Seaboard." The event features crafts, food, kids programming, live entertainment, a regional car show, and a 5K race. Vendor spaces are competitive — non-food vendors only are being accepted for the waiting list.

Annual A Classic Christmas in Mooresville in the heart of Downtown Mooresville featuring local artisans, Christmas lights, live entertainment, holiday shopping, ice skating, horse-drawn wagon rides, Santa visits, carousel, train rides, Christmas photo ops, and carolers. Food vendors, warm beverages, and sweet treats throughout.

Mini-festival presented by JFA (Jubilee Foundation Arts) featuring foot-tapping bluegrass and old-time music, silent auction of regional items, an artists' market, and food.

Held in downtown Rutherfordton each December, A Small Town Christmas brings a Christmas Market to the Shoppes Under Main. Mr. and Mrs. Claus plus a Christmas Parade featuring marching bands, fire engines, dancing, floats and of course Santa draw strong foot traffic. The lighting of the largest Cedar Christmas tree in Western North Carolina wraps the evening on the courthouse lawn. Established small-town crowd looking for unique local goods.

A Taste of Davidson is an annual fall festival held in downtown Davidson to celebrate the flavors of Davidson and features food and beverages from local restaurants. Local restaurants offer samples of their menu items for a small fee, with live music provided. The festival is held in October on a single evening at the Circles downtown venue. Vendors of interest: Restaurant-focused—beverage vendors and food businesses with established locations in town are typically represented.

Running for over 15 years in downtown Albemarle, the Albemarle Downtown Farmers Market (formerly Stanly County Farmers Market) offers local meats, seasonal produce, baked goods, and handcrafted items. Vendors sell produce, homemade goods, and crafts to Stanly County and surrounding areas. Opening day features an annual plant sale along with a spring craft fair and children's activities sponsored by 4-H. Both farmers and artisans welcome; artisan demonstrators and musicians may also contact the market.

Held on the last Thursday of each month May–September in downtown Lincolnton, Alive After Five is a casual evening on the Court Square featuring beach music, shagging, and live bands. DJ Johnny B gets things started before the band takes over. Food vendors and a beer wagon keep the crowd fed and refreshed. Bring lawn chairs and your car—old, new, or motorcycle—for premium parking and a mini car show vibe.

Weekly farmers market in Sparta. Saturdays main market and seasonal Thursday markets in summer months. Local produce baked goods and other regional goods.

Held in historic downtown Wilmington, ACWW is Wilmington's largest outdoor art show and sale featuring more than 100 of the region's finest artists of handmade and homemade items. The craft walk runs along Front St. from Orange St. to Walnut St. and along Princess St., showcasing fine craftsmen and artists of jewelry, pottery, fiber, photography, and glass. The 2026 event is full and no longer accepting applications. A notable jury of three will review each applicant's work and background.

Fall pottery week featuring demonstrations of wheel throwing, kiln openings, and self-guided tour of 50+ working studios in Seagrove, named America's #1 Town for Craft Lovers. 100+ ceramic artists participate.

Annual celebration of the Agri-Civic Center and its impact on the community with agricultural displays, educational demonstrations, vendors, live music, raffle and auction items, kids' activities, and more. All proceeds benefit the Friends of the Agri-Civic Center. Free event.

Held each November in Ansonville, this daylong celebration centers around the fire department and rescue squad's annual barbecue—chicken, pork, and beef. An antique car show, crafts displays, and entertainment for children round out the festivities alongside the parade.

19th annual juried outdoor arts and crafts festival on Main Street in downtown Weaverville. Over 100 juried artists and craftspeople, live music. Awards: $1,000 Best of Show, $500 second, $250 third, four $50 honorable mentions. Free admission and parking. Rain or shine.

64th season of Blowing Rock Art in the Park. Series of six juried shows May through October presented by 4 Forty Four with Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce. Each show features a different set of artists curated by jury for variety of mediums. Accepted media: clay digital art drawing fiber glass jewelry leather metal 2D/3D mixed media painting photography printmaking sculpture wood. No t-shirts sweatshirts food candles or soaps. ZAPP application $35 application fee.

Held in Morehead City, the Arts Council of Carteret County's Holiday Show runs from mid-November through mid-December, featuring handmade gifts and art from local members, neighbors, and friends. An opening reception kicks off the show; entries are accepted in early November.

Held in Clinton at the Victor R. Small House, the Art for All Holiday Market runs each November through mid-December. The event features handcrafted items including pottery, jewelry, artwork, and home décor. Gift offerings also include paintings, prints, ornaments, candles, knitting, crochet, birdhouses, handcrafted wooden bowls, and cutting boards. An opening Artist Reception kicks off the market with live music and hors d'oeuvres.
